New page for erotic art and commissions!

Sun Oct 26, 2008, 10:54 PM
Just a heads up that I'm starting a new page specifically designed for my Erotic artwork. The link is here: [link]

I figured, I'd keep this main one PG, since I've been showing off my work to more than just my friends lately.

I'm also open to doing commissions of said Erotic artwork, although I'm not 100% sure how it's going to work out.

In brief, the prices I've decided upon are as follows:

Pencil "Sketch" - $10
Inked Drawing - $15
Full Color - $20

Right now, I don't have much on this page, but all this week I'll be drawing and uploading pictures and full color work. Some original, some fan art, just for kicks.

That's about it. Thanks!

Cartoon Cartoon!

Sun Jun 22, 2008, 8:39 PM
It's been a while, and a few things have happened.

1) I started work at Vivendi Games as a QA Tester at the end of April. I was pretty burned out on QA, but I desperately needed a job, and Vivendi were the only people willing to hire me, despite me sending off 10 resumes a day.

The job is typical QA, and all of the BS it entails, but I don't hate the work, and it's simple enough; get paid to play video games all day.

2) Me and the guys finally had our pitch with Cartoon Network last Wednesday, the 18th of June.

We pitched three shows: The Adventures of Far-Fig Newton Boy, SteamPunk Academy, and We The Fairy Three.

The executive we met with was Brian Jones, who is the man in charge of Action/Adventure series for the network.

He said he'll pass We The Fairy Three onto the comedy department, as that's their forte, and he was interested in more material for Figboy.

He absolutely LOVED SteamPunk Academy, and wants us to write him up a treatment and send him whatever artwork we have for it.

The ironic thing, is that we weren't even going to pitch SteamPunk, so we didn't have any print outs to give to him. Fortunately, I put some drawings on my PSP, and brought my sketchbook with me.

As we talked about the show with him, I would show him the art, and he was very responsive to the idea as a whole. He really enjoyed the subject material, and the character dynamics of our five protagonists, and their supporting cast.

The best thing about the whole pitch is that he wants us to make SteamPunk a darker show, which is what we wanted to do all along, but were holding back, because we thought we were pitching the show to the 6-11 year old demographic.

They are gearing the network more towards the 9-14 age range, and would like darker, more mature shows. This, is our specialty, so we're really excited about that.

All in all, the pitch went better than we expected. I mean, for them to like just one of our ideas would have been amazing, but the fact that they loved all THREE of them is phenomenal.

Nothing is set in stone, and anything can happen, and our chickens haven't hatched yet, but I have a good feeling that SteamPunk Academy will be the show they ultimately pick up. Fingers, toes, and everything else are suitably crossed.

At the moment, me and guys are working on rewriting our previous treatment for SteamPunk, and I'm working on redesigning the characters to a slightly older, more teenager look.

I'll post the art here as it's done, as well as any updates in the next few weeks.

Fate is a funny thing

After submitting Vampire Hoteru to Cartoon Network last August, they regrettably declined to pick up the show, however, they were quite interested in seeing what else we had to say.

I responded with a letter to the head of original Development there, Heather Kenyon, in, what I felt, was an honest, genuine expression of appreciation for them taking the time out to even bother looking at our submission in the first place.

I wrote that letter in early October, and heard nothing back from Cartoon Network at all. I just chalked it up to fate, and decided that it wasn't meant to be.

Yesterday, I get an email from a familiar name that it took me a few seconds to recognize; Heather Kenyon.

Upon reading the email, I was quite shocked to see that Heather was very pleased with the letter I sent her, and once again expressed an interest in seeing what me, Juan, and Vito have up our sleeves next.

I thought the dream had tapered to a halt, especially in the wake of the writer's strike, but it seems as if the fates have more in store for me and my chums than I expected. We are proceeding full force on a new idea that we've had brewing for a while now, and I have a good feeling that this time around, CN won't be turning it away.

They've expressed, more than once now, that they have an interest in our talent. They rejected Vampire Hoteru, not because it was a bad idea, but because it was heavily anime, and they were gravitating away from that market at the time. I think we handled that rejection with grace, and are now given a second chance to impress them. I'm almost reasonably certain that we will succeed. Afterall, in this industry, they don't waste the time to exchange emails with people they are not interested in. Only time will tell for sure, but just when I thought I was out, "they" pulled me back in...

...A little more...

The Vampire Hoteru Bible is finally complete, and is being printed out as I speak. The final step to our master plan is pitch this thing to Cartoon Network (to name just one studio).

Me and the guys have also created a series for G4, completely unrelated to Vampire Hoteru, that we plan on pitching to them in the next few weeks. We're pretty much tapping every friend and contact we can for their help, as they won't go unrewarded.

Ideally, we'd love to set up a studio in which all of our very talented friends can work and produce things like movies, comic books, video games, novels, etc. That's a long ways off, but every journey starts with that first step.

Selling these two shows, in my mind, will be those first few.

Now, completely unrelated, I went to my first "Porn Industry Party" last night, and it was surprisingly fun. It started with me helping the guests find the shuttles and the limo that was to take them to "The Lucky Strike," a bowling alley on Hollywood and Highland. At about 12am, i finally got to head to the party and chill out in the V.I.P. section for about two hours. It was definitely an interesting experience, as, before this, i had always been the guy *not* allowed in the V.I.P. part of anywhere (not even the grocery store. oh, you know they have one there, hidden away from your average shopper. those grocers are a wild bunch). Anyway, it wasn't as wild and debaucherous as I expected it to be, though there wasn't a shortage of gorgeous women groping all over each other for Photo-ops. Sadly, I didn't bring my camera. I did, hear, however, that some of the bigger parties (like the one's in Vegas they throw), can get a little wild. I think I'll be avoiding those, as I value certain parts of my anatomy that I'm sure my fiance would inflict massive damage to if I don't behave(unless I take her to the party next time. unfortunately, since i was working there, she couldn't go last night).

I had a blast (watching beautiful women bowl is oddly erotic, especially when they are scantily clad), and I'm looking forward to the next event (and the nice little bonus money I got for my troubles).

Life in L.A. can sure be strange sometimes. And unpredictable. A week ago I never would have thought I'd be chilling out with porn stars in a bowling alley.
